Serena

The brief

The question was never how Serena should look. It was how it should feel.

The idea

Inside the name, a language was waiting.

Three syllables: an arrival, a return, a belonging. The Se · Re · Na word banks now guide the copy, the guest journey, and the structure of the site.

Identity

Still in the air, present without effort: a hummingbird drawn in single strokes, above wide letters that settle into the horizon. Quiet, and unhurried.

Photography

We directed the photography and videography of the villas the way a guest remembers them: in light, in water, in the garden.

The website

The site opens the way the place does: slowly, between the jungle and the surf.

Walkthrough

Choosing a villa should feel like walking through it. So the site moves: short films of the garden, the living space and the suites, stepped through one tap at a time, carry a guest through every room before they arrive.

Every screen

The design was crafted with meticulous care, so the experience feels as refined on any device as the retreat feels in person.

Social

On Instagram, the same language, one slide at a time.

  • A woman in a draped linen dress walks barefoot toward a round teak door, calla lilies in hand.
  • For every moment between “I do.” A private villa retreat for the milestones that matter most.
  • A woman in a white dress crosses a flowering garden toward a man on a poolside lounger.
  • Intimate weddings. Engagements. Honeymoons. Anniversaries. Vow renewals. Celebrated where the jungle meets the shore.
  • A couple talk over coffee at a live edge table, the garden green behind them.

  • A woman floats on her back in a sunlit turquoise pool.
  • Morning routine. Blue water, a good book, hours to spare.
  • A man in a white linen shirt sips coffee, half hidden behind a palm frond.
  • It is what you want it to be. Warm light on your skin, coffee in hand.
  • A woman in a crochet coverup sits at the pool’s edge, eyes closed in the sun.
  • The pool and its loungers, glimpsed through palms and red ixora.
  • A pool in the green. A garden in bloom, hummingbirds nearby.
  • A man at the pool’s edge drinks from a fresh coconut.
  • Bare feet on warm stone. The sun doing its thing, you doing yours.
  • A man reclines on a poolside lounger beneath an umbrella the colour of sand.

  • Intimate by design. A private villa retreat in Nosara, Costa Rica.
  • A sunlit living room: linen curtains, a teak sofa and a round jute rug.
  • The villa. The garden. The pool. The shore. The setting for the moments that matter.
  • Coffee poured from a French press into a striped cup on a teak table.

Nosara sells surf, yoga and wellness, and so does Serena. But in its villas, garden and pool we found a rarer niche: the moments people travel for. We gave those moments a campaign of their own, Serena’s first, from an account with no followers. It spoke straight to its audience, and Meta’s auction charges less for the ads people respond to.1
